Fly Lines

The Mastery MPX is the ultimate general-purpose fly line. Improving upon the popular GPX, the MPX is a half-size heavier for loading rods and turning over large flies. The line has power with the addition of finesse.

The SlickShooter is a hard nylon line with a slick finish designed to shoot for distance. Returns to shape after being stretched with it’s no memory design. The line has a very low coefficient of friction to allow for long casts.

Rio’s Metered ConnectCore Line is a highly sensitive shooting line featuring RIO’s RangerFinder system to gauge casting distance. Line changes color every 10 ft to determine range.

RIO’s Leviathan line is ready for the largest of saltwater species. This fast sinking line loads powerful fly rods and casts the large flies. The hard coating allows for consistent performance in hot weather.

Rio’s Directcore Permit line is designed to cast typical crab patterns with delicate presentations. It has an easy taper for loading at close range and long back taper for quick second shots.

The Bonefish line is designed specifically for chasing bonefish. Produced to make long casts with easy turnover and presentation of flies. Perfect for more experienced flats anglers.

RIO’s Creek line is perfect for the angler fishing small creeks with nymphs, dries, and small streamers. While the line loads at closer range, it has enough substance for times when a longer cast is needed.

The Shop Special line was designed by Mike himself. This is based on the Rio Predator taper, but has incorporated a slicker coating and a braided core. The braided core allows the line to work well in both cold and warm water.
